The Nightcrawler vs. Matt Hardy (Taipei deathmatch)

The following contest is a Taipei deathmatch! Making his way to the ring... from Parts Unknown... weighing in at three hundred and five pounds... Theeeeeee Nightcrawler!

The arena was dark, and a cloud of smoke surrounded the stage and trailed down the ramp. All of the sudden, a tall figure emerged from the smoke. His hands were stiff and covered in thick, white glue and multicolored shards of glass. Today, the Nightcrawler was wearing nothing put pitch black trunks, boots of the same color, and mask number 3, the most revealing mask... almost as if he was willing to bleed. He slowly walked down the ramp, then stopped at the ring apron. He tilted his head up towards the ceiling, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath through his nose. He then, with one big step, placed his foot on the ring apron, then the other, pulling himself up with the ropes. He pushed the rope down then stepped over it and climbed into the ring. As he waited for his opponent to enter, he paced the ring, staring angrily at the stage.

The crowd boos.
Matt Grabs a mic.

"Who the hell am I wrestling? Jesus, he looks like he just crawled out of hell! Anyways, I am here in EWF to prove that I can compete with the best of the best. Lets get this started."

The Nightcrawler grunted. It almost sounded like a smirk, in a way.

The ref called for the bell.
Ding ding ding!

The Nightcrawler quickly grabbed Matt into a headlock. Matt struggled to get out of it, but the Nightcrawler struck Matt in the face with his knee. He then irish whipped Matt into the ropes, then grabbed him and hit a powerslam. He then climbed up to the top rope, and waited for Matt to get up...


Mick Foley: And The Nightcrawler is immediately dominating in this sadistic Taipei deathmatch...
JBL: I've seen some scary guys in my days, but this guy is definitely up there on the list.

Matt used the ropes to get up, then started to go on a flurry of punches. The Nightcrawler blocked it, then Matt went to the ropes. Spinning elbow by Hardy! He goes to pick him up but...

Hardy began to pick him up, but he hit him with a thundering uppercut right to the jaw, busting his chin open. He grabbed Matt by the gut and shoved his head between his legs. He began to lift him up and go for a jumping piledriver...

Hardy then dropped back down and back body dropped The Nightcrawler. Hardy hits the side effect then lifts him and goes for Twist of Fate...

Nightcrawler was hit with Hardy's finisher, the Twist of Fate. He fell over and lay seemingly motionless on the ground.

Matt goes for the cover. 1... 2... Nightcrawler barely lifted a shoulder. Matt looks shocked and goes for another cover. 1... 2... another kickout. Matt argues with the ref. Meanwhile...

Mick Foley: Oh wow, I don't know how he managed to kick out of that. That was a pretty bad Twist of Hate he got hit with. Matt certainly doesn't seem happy about the ref's decision...


As Hardy argued with the referee, Nightcrawler saw his chance. He slowly stood up, and then sneaked behind Hardy. He then grabbed Hardy's head in a vice grip. His massive hands nearly covered the light heavyweight's whole skull, and the glass on his hands dug into the side of Matt's head. Blood was now pouring from Hardy's face in a 'crimson mask'. Nightcrawler slowly let go, but before Hardy fell to the ground in pain, Nightcrawler grabbed Hardy and pulled him over his shoulders. He then sat down and rammed Hardy into his shoulders for an Argentine backbreaker. While Hardy was down, Nightcrawler climbed up to the top rope once more, and again awaited for Hardy to stand back up.


Mick Foley: Oh my god! Look at all that blood!
JBL: Now that's some quality wrestling...
Mick Foley: You're a sick man.
JBL: You should talk.

Hardy rolls all over the ring in pain.

Infuriated and impatient, Nightcrawler decided to just forget his plans. He jumped off the top rope, and hit Hardy face-first in the chest, driving his thick, hard leather mask into Matt's vulnerable torso. He then pulled Hardy up off the ground and lifted him over his shoulders. He grabbed Hardy by the arm and leg then pulled him back to gain momentum, preparing for his finisher, Revenge...


Mick Foley: Ouch... those leather masks are a lot tougher than you'd think. I would know.
JBL: I certainly believe you...

Nightcrawler nails Revenge. Hardy is not moving.

The Nightcrawler dropped to his knees, exhausted. He fell over a bloody Hardy and barely hooked his leg.
1... 2...


JBL: And there goes Revenge! Hardy's not moving... Nightcrawler is real strong. That's not something you wanna get yourself into. And here's the pin!
Mick Foley: I'm pretty convinced this guy's gonna win at this point. I mean, look at Matt! He's a bloody mess!

The ref immediately stood up from the pin count and called for the bell.
Ding ding ding!
Here's your winner... The Nightcrawler!

The Nightcrawler stood up, leaving Hardy motionless on the ground, a bloody mess. The ref grabbed him by his arm near his elbow this time, to avoid any excess glue or shattered glass. The Nightcrawler did the same taunt in his entrance; staring at the ceiling with his eyes closed and breathing heavily. He had absolutely know expression on his face. It was hard to tell what he was thinking... he put no effort into raising the arm himself. Almost as if he wasn't necessarily happy about winning, but about taking another victim.
